A series of police-led operations conducted on Friday, 3rd October, and Saturday, 4th October 2025, across Icacos, Curepe, and Sangre Grande, resulted in the arrest of over sixty (60) Spanish-speaking nationals who entered Trinidad and Tobago illegally.
The operations were spearheaded by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), with operational support from the Immigration Division’s Enforcement Unit (IDEU). Officers from multiple TTPS divisions and specialized units participated in these coordinated, intelligence-driven efforts, focusing on locations known to be frequented by foreign nationals.
Those detained are currently housed at police stations within the respective districts and will be further processed by officers of the Immigration Division – Enforcement Unit (IDEU) in the coming week.
The TTPS continues to provide full support to the Immigration Division, and the Immigration Division remains steadfast in its fight against illegal migration and in the removal of persons deemed undesirable in Trinidad and Tobago.
All individuals taken into custody are expected to face charges for illegal entry, with some also potentially facing additional charges for aiding and abetting others to enter the country unlawfully.
