A 52-year-old man died after a house fire in Hermitage Village late Friday night.
Russel Mantan, of Chamroo Trace, was found in his downstairs apartment when firefighters from Mon Repos Fire Station extinguished the blaze around 11:45 p.m. The concrete and board dwelling, measuring approximately 30×40 feet, was uninsured.
